Scott always prioritized conspiracy theories, which destroyed his marriage. Nevertheless, he was a loving father and often spent time with his daughter Shelley, frequently taking her on trips.
During one such outing, Shelley died in an accident when Scott briefly stepped away, leaving her at the campsite. All suspicion fell on him, but Frankie managed to secure the most favorable outcome for Scott: commitment to a psychiatric hospital. Soon, due to insufficient evidence, Scott was released.
